This is a great iced tea maker. This is the second one I have purchased. The first one lasted almost 25 years! I used it every day for all of those years and never had a problem. It never leaks and you can control how long you brew it. I hope this one lasts another 25 years!
I would not recommend the larger 3 quart model. You can't control how long the tea brews and it leaks all over the counter top if you don't watch it.

I received this iced tea maker as agift from my sister. I have the 3-quart version with the square pitcher. I used the maker today, excellent fast iced tea. I still need to perfect it though, I made the tea too strong (too many iced tea bags) and not enough ice (I ended up with less than half a pitcher of tea :( But anywho, I will try again tomorrow. I think this was a great gift!!!

I owned the prior version in a smaller size, I had it about 8 yrs. before mine cracked, I purchased this one and have had it for about 2 or so years. People must be rough on this because it takes years of use to crack these under normal conditions. I put mine in the dishwasher and also rinse out and use right away again. It makes perfect tea, never had a problem, and its always full when its finished.

Replacement Pitchers

Replacement pitchers are available at various places on the internet, including the Mr. Coffee store. We have had several of the Iced Tea Pots with the best being the 2 quart model (TM1). The larger 3 quart size pitcher (TP3/TM30) does have a tendency to gradually develop a crack or cracks (straight down from the lip and then underneath) and then naturally to leak in 6 months to a year for ours. This is a very common complaint with this one. No pitcher here has been put in the dishwasher. I would like to know if the TP1 replacement pitcher for the TM1 model would fit this model pictured above, which is TM1S? Anyone know? I have TP1 pitchers but no maker. lol Thank you.

This iced tea maker is a hand-me-down from my mom and I absolutely LOVE it. I have had NO cracking or smelly plastic taste issues, like others have mentioned. It tastes like iced tea that has been made outside on your porch on a warm (or hot here in AZ) summer day, but in 10 min! It's great, I totally recommend it!

This ice tea maker is so easy to use. I put in 7 or 8 tea bags to 3 quarts of water & ice. It is done in a couple of minutes. I would suggest making simple syrup for sweetness. My friends come to visit and they always expect my tea now. They think I sit it in the sun all day- if they only knew the truth. Thank you Mr. Coffee!

I love my ice tea maker. It is great for maker tea with loose tea and brews it perfectly. The ice does not create watered down tea as one reviewer wrote. The ice melts to cool the tea quicker. If you just used water, you have to wait longer for it to cool in the fridge. I always have a full pitcher when I am done. Not sure what everyone is doing wrong! Hopefully the company has fixed the problem of the pitchers breaking easily.

I think the reason so many people are having trouble with this tea maker is because they simply don't know how to make tea. This is DEF. much simpler than trying to boil water and make tea and takes all of 2-3 minutes. All you have to do is add the water, use 2-3 tea bags and then fill the pitcher with either ice or water or a combo of both. If the tea is weak, add less water and/or more tea bags. If you want sweet tea add the sugar in the pitcher while the tea is brewing. Great product. I had my old one for about 10 years and this newer one for over 2 already and have had no trouble at all. Great Product!!

Had one of these for over ten years when it finally gave out. Never had a problem with the pitcher, but then it never saw the inside of a dishwasher. Replacement pitchers are available, just search the Web.

We have had our Mr. coffee Tea maker for over 13 years and it's finally time to get a new one. We never put them in the diswasher (pitchers) until the last several years and I think they take a beaten when we do that but otherwise the tea maker has been GREAT! Hint-if you hand wash the pitcher you will got alot more time out of it.
